In its great majority comes from the oldest vineyards of our estate La Planta of Tinto Fino (95%) , Merlot (3%) and Albillo(2%) varieties. This reserva is born from a tradicional and sustainable cultivation.
The soil is clay- chalky and the sub-soil is pure limestone at one meter from the surface. The altitude of the vineyard is at 900 meters over the sea level. All this provides singularity to our vineyards.
Bunches selection start in the vineyard. The grapes are picked by hand when they have reached the optimum ripeness and they are brought to the winery in 15 kg crates. Sorted on a sorting table, part of the bunches will be destemmed.
After this the grapes along with the rest of the bunches will be pumped into wood vats and stay in for several days at a low temperature. Later they carry out a slow alcoholic fermentation at 29º C. 26 months ageing in French oak and a bit of American oak.
VISUAL: Intense and brilliant ruby red color.
NOSE: Elegance and austerity, complex, full of fruit nuances. Characteristic aromas that define the wines from the Ribera del Duero region. The wine has an impressive depth with hints of dark fruit, toasts and rose petals.
MOUTH: Tasty and fresh, creamy and elegant, leaving a sensation of a great wine.
